Saunders

I am passionate about design on every scale and believe great design lies in equilibrium between form, function and efficiency.

I am an outgoing graduate of Ryerson University's school of architecture. Studying architecture the past four year has broadened my perspective of the world and the way I understand it. The study of architecture not only gave me a technical understanding of building design but also a greater understanding of society, culture and life.

My experience in the design and construction industries has given me valuable insight into the building market. I am a visionary thinker with a strong sense of realism . I am both a generalist and a specialist. I am passionate and coachable, this makes me an excellent team player.

About Me

About Me

I'm an outgoing creative individual who is enjoys using my hands and mind to create objects and ideas. My work experience with Lasertech Floorplans has given me an excellent understanding of building typologies, layouts, style, and most importantly a good eye for thoughtful design. I am consistently working under tight deadlines, while problem solving issues that arise from both the clients and the field team. In addition, my work experience as a carpenter’s assistant has given me a thorough understanding of the construction industry and the workflow of the construction site. My participation in competitive sports has enabled me to further develop the skills of team building, focus, and discipline which are all extremely applicable in the work environment.

My undergraduate education at Ryerson University provided me a strong technical knowledge of design principles, an appreciation of practical architecture and a rich understanding of the computer software. I have extensive experience using Revit 2015, AutoCAD, Photoshop and SketchUp. I make use of BIM integration, custom families, parametric properties and worksets, and also work with Vray to create visualizations and animated walkthroughs. When I'm not working on creative projects, you would find me in the outdoors, kayaking, backpacking, camping or fishing.
